Arts & Crafts

Both Jim and Kristy have won awards for their work. Kristy has had the pleasure of having two pieces travel the state of Nebraska in a touring exhibition.

Both were featured in a front page article in 2011 in the Norfolk Daily News. It was the third time that Kristy has graced the cover.

She was also asked to illustrate a children's book in 2010. The book, "Lessons from a Rubber Duck", was released in December and focuses on the topic of bullying. The book is available at all major book retailers, including: Amazon & Barnes and Noble. The book is also available through the publisher, WriteLife.

In 2010, a 40' mural was unveiled at the Madison County Museum depicting Lewis and Clark in their travels to the pacific. The piece, completely done in acrylic, was completed within a six month period. The Madison County Museum, Madison, NE. is open daily from 1-4 pm. Private tours are also available.

In March of 2013, Kristy employed the help of local youth interested in the art field at Madison High School. The youth, ranging from grades 9-12, took a break from their busy Saturday schedules to help Kristy out with a 4' by 6' painting. The painting was completed in three weeks. It currently hangs at the Madison County Historical Society Museum, in Madison, NE. The images below depict the conceptualized drawing of the train as well as the finished product.
